PRODUCTION ENGINEER

The Copper and Alloys Extrusion Division of ElvalHalcor is seeking a Production Engineer with a continuous improvement mindset to join our dynamic Production team in our plant in Oinofyta Voiotia, Greece.

Role Description

Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for the production process (Process Owner), according to technical specifications and KPIs, the selection and evaluation of raw materials suppliers, as well as the quality assurance of the product based on Quality Plan
Contibuting to Production Planning in accordance with annual, monthly and daily goals, including human resources and machine planning, raw materials order and materials and intermediate products storage
Embracing continuous improvement philosophy, aiming at productivity growth, cost reduction & product quality development
Contributing to the implementation of trial productions, according to Research & Development plan
Ensuring the smooth operation and the compliance with the Maintenance Plan of machinery
Ensuring safety rules and 5s orderliness rules are applied in the production site, including the supervision and coordination of internal teams or/and external contactors
Responsible for team’s training, regarding the production process

Requirements:
Master’s Degree in Engineering, preferrably Chemical Engineering
A minimum of 2-5 years’ hands-on experience in industrial production environment required
Full professional proficiency in English. Second foreign language would be considered a plus
Knowledge of SAP would be considered a plus
Familiar with TQM philosophy desired
Familiar with Six-Sigma philosophy desired
