Production Engineer

The Production Engineer is responsible for monitoring and improving production processes to ensure efficient operations, consistent product quality, and achievement of production targets. The role involves analyzing production issues, implementing corrective actions and countermeasures, supporting die casting trials and product evaluation, troubleshooting minor machine issues, and coordinating with operators, inspectors, and other departments to maintain smooth and efficient production operations.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Monitor and oversee daily production activities to ensure compliance with established procedures, quality standards, and production targets.
• Prepare and maintain Die Casting Quality Reports and other production-related documentation.
• Investigate and respond to non-conformances, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Analyze production issues and develop effective countermeasures to prevent recurrence.
• Provide technical support and necessary resources to operators and inspectors.
• Conduct product evaluation during trial runs and assess process and product performance.
• Perform minor machine troubleshooting and repairs to minimize production downtime.
• Implement and monitor 5S practices and continuous improvement activities in the production area.
• Train newly hired operators and inspectors on work procedures, production processes, and quality requirements.
• Implement and monitor production schedules to achieve required output and delivery targets.
• Assist in manpower allocation based on production requirements.
• Coordinate with production, quality, and maintenance teams to resolve process and equipment-related issues.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Mechanical Engineering or any related engineering course.
• With experience in die casting or manufacturing operations.
• With knowledge and experience in production engineering, process improvement, and troubleshooting.
• With skills in production monitoring, problem-solving, quality control, and 5S implementation.
• Preferably with experience in supervising or coordinating production operators.
