Production Engineer

*Role Introduction*

Production Engineers continuously enhance the reliability, supportability, and operability of trading systems in production environments through reliability governance, engineering development, and production support.

You will develop a deep understanding of trading business flows, system architecture, runtime dependencies, and critical components. You will build and maintain trade support services, trading assistant Agents, production tooling, automation capabilities, and operational mechanisms to reduce system risks, production change risks, and manual operation overhead.

The ultimate value of this work is reflected in more reliable systems, safer production changes, more efficient issue resolution, and clearer, more controllable production operations.

*Key Responsibilities*

• Drive trading system reliability governance**

Identify systemic risks through incident analysis, alerting patterns, and operational data. Prioritize improvement initiatives, drive long-term remediation, and validate their effectiveness.

• Build trade support services and production engineering capabilities

Design, develop, and maintain trade support services, trading assistant Agents, production tools, and automation. Productize mature solutions into reusable services and operational mechanisms.

• Enhance change safety for production and new business launches

Participate in production-readiness assessments for critical systems, strategies, and trading workflows. Improve capacity planning, change validation, release controls, and rollback mechanisms.

• **Handle production trading issues and improve incident response

Quickly assess business impact and directly participate in issue diagnosis and resolution. Collaborate with trading, development, strategy, IT, and other teams to restore systems, while continuously enhancing escalation protocols, post-incident reviews, and knowledge management.

*Qualifications*

We are looking for someone who:

• Can apply coding skills to solve real engineering problems – building, testing, and maintaining tools or services that are actually used in production.

• Has a solid foundation in computer systems, with a good understanding of Linux, networking, processes, file systems, and common system dependencies.

• Can break down complex problems, formulate hypotheses, design validation approaches, and adjust judgment as new information emerges.

• Remains clear-headed and calm under incomplete information and time pressure – able to articulate known facts, current judgment, risks, and planned course of action.

• Enjoys switching between engineering development and production support – comfortable handling immediate issues while also driving long-term improvements.

We do not require prior experience in trading or Production Engineering. We focus more on your engineering fundamentals, problem-solving approach, learning agility, and whether you are genuinely drawn to a role that balances reliability engineering, software development, and production issue response.

*Nice to Have*

• Experience developing or operating complex, distributed, real-time, or low-latency systems.

• Prior involvement in reliability governance, incident response, or production engineering capability building.

• Experience developing or leading software tools, services, Agents, or automation projects that are actually used in production.
