Production Engineer

Role Description The Production Engineer role at Allpac Container Inc. is a full-time, on-site position based in Windsor, ON. The Production Engineer is responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations, monitoring equipment performance, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives on the shop floor. This role includes coordinating production schedules, optimizing workflows, and collaborating with supervisors and operators to resolve issues that may affect output, quality, or safety. The Production Engineer will analyze production data, implement process improvements, and ensure adherence to quality standards, operational procedures, and regulatory requirements. The position also involves preparing reports, participating in cross-functional meetings, and supporting the introduction of new products or equipment into production.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Production Engineering, with the ability to apply engineering principles to manufacturing processes.
• Analytical skills to interpret production data, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions.
• Experience with Production Planning, including scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow optimization.
• Knowledge of Quality Control practices, standards, and tools to ensure consistent product quality and compliance.
• Effective Communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, provide clear instructions, and document processes.
• Degree or diploma in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in a manufacturing or packaging environment, preferably within corrugated or container production, is an asset.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing, 5S, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
• Ability to work on-site in Windsor, ON, with a focus on safety, teamwork, and reliable attendance.
• Proficiency with production-related software, MS Office, and basic data analysis tools.
