Production Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, monitor, and control day-to-day production activities as per the production plan.
• Ensure production targets are achieved within the specified timelines.
• Monitor production output, manpower utilization, productivity, and line efficiency.
• Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Stores, Planning, and other departments for smooth production operations.
• Ensure proper manpower allocation and effective utilization of available resources.
• Monitor production processes and ensure adherence to defined work instructions, SOPs, and process standards.
• Identify production-related issues and coordinate with concerned departments for timely resolution.
• Minimize production downtime, rejection, rework, and material wastage.
• Maintain daily production records, reports, and relevant documentation.
• Monitor and maintain production line discipline and 5S standards.
• Support implementation of continuous improvement, Kaizen, and productivity improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety requirements, and EHS standards.
• Train and guide operators and production team members on processes and work instructions.
• Escalate production issues, delays, quality concerns, and manpower-related issues to the reporting manager.
• Participate in production meetings and provide updates on production performance.
• Support new product introduction, process changes, and other production-related activities when required.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline.
• 4–7 years of experience in a manufacturing/production environment.
• Experience in electronics manufacturing, automotive components, electrical/electronic products, or similar manufacturing industries will be preferred.
• Good understanding of production processes and shop-floor operations.
• Good manpower handling and coordination skills.
• Ability to analyze production issues and take corrective actions.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic knowledge of 5S, Kaizen, productivity, and continuous improvement.
• Basic knowledge of MS Excel and production reporting.
• Willingness to work in shifts.
