PRODUCTION ENGINEER

Duties & Responsibilities

• To identify & implement continuous improvements to the Company's production processes & continuous review the aging of part. Introduce automation, better jig design, or process upgrades to existing production setup.

• Customer & Technical Support by reviewing customer specifications and translate into process requirements. Support new product introduction (NPI) by performing trial runs, process validations with drafted DOE.

• Responsible for the overall operational cost saving through cycle time improvement, maximize the loading quantity, reducing the internal rework & process optimization of plating.

• To emphasize on the implementation of 5S, safety and ISO requirement at Production Floor.

• To work closely, coordinate & align with quality team by identifying the root cause, reduce the defects rate & propose solutions corresponding to individual defects.

• To review the non-conformity parts with QA department prior disposition being made. - Assists for investigation, analyze and report writing with corresponds to customer complaint

• To plan, scheduling & draft checklist for periodic maintenance (production related).

• To design jigs & fixture for new customer products & draft floor plan layout (Cad skills required).

• Establish production related training documents: Prepare and maintain SOP, WI, Process route card, process control plan to support for audits & train up operators by raising their awareness on 5S, safety, process compliance to customer requirements.

• Periodic review of production spare parts inventories.

• To supports in any necessary data/ documentation compilation and perform any ad-hoc task assigned by superior

Job requirement

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or equivalent.

• Minimum 2–5 years of working experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience in surface finishing, electroplating, semiconductor, aerospace, metal finishing, or related industries will be an added advantage.

• Good communication and analytical skills

• Good knowledge & well versed in Microsoft office, PowerPoints, AutoCAD, sketch up applications.

• Able to work independently with minimum supervision.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, project management, and decision-making skills.

• Self-motivated, results-oriented, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

• Experience in automation, digitalization, robotics, PLC systems, or Industry 4.0 initiatives will be an added advantage.
