Job Title: Production Engineer

Job Description

Role Purpose:
To support and optimize production activities across all divisions (fabrication, machining, sheet metal, powder coating, assembly), ensuring smooth execution of work orders, technical problem-solving, and adherence to production targets, quality, and process standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Translate production plans into clear work orders, process flows, and technical instructions.
• Coordinate with the Production Planner, Supervisor, and Inventory to ensure material availability.
• Provide real-time technical support to solve production and assembly problems.
• Monitor and improve machine utilization, manpower efficiency, and process reliability.
• Collaborate with R&D & Engineering and QA to ensure manufacturability and product quality.
• Implement and monitor work standardization, SOPs, and quality control checkpoints.
• Support new product introductions (NPI) into production lines.
• Ensure compliance with ISO standards, safety regulations, and ERP documentation.
• Analyse production bottlenecks and propose corrective/preventive actions.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering

Experience

3–5 years in production engineering or manufacturing environment

Technical Skills

Process planning, fixture design, basic CAD (SolidWorks/AutoCAD), machine operation

Systems Knowledge

Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems, production routing

Tools

Understanding of CNC, welding, assembly, and lean tools

Language

English (spoken & written); Malay/Mandarin a plus

Soft Skills

Problem-solving, teamwork, detail-oriented, proactive mindset
