Production Engineer

About the role

This role involves managing alternative raw materials (ARM) and alternative fuels (AF) in cement manufacturing and co-processing operations. You will oversee heavy processing machinery, optimise processes, and ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage waste-derived fuels, biomass, industrial byproducts, or scheduled waste for cement co-processing
• Oversee heavy processing machinery including rotary kilns, crushers, conveyors, feeders, and air pollution control (APC) systems
• Track KPIs, reduce process variability, and conduct root-cause analysis using tools like 5-Why or Six Sigma methodologies
• Monitor emissions, air pollution control, and ensure co-processing safety regulations are met
• Enforce strict health, safety, and environmental standards when handling hazardous or alternative industrial waste materials

About you

• 3–5 years of experience in industrial/manufacturing operations
• Experience in cement, waste recycling, heavy processing, or similar industries
• Knowledge of Alternative Raw Materials (ARM) and Alternative Fuels (AF)
• Experience with heavy industrial equipment and plant operations
• Good understanding of HSE, environmental and emissions compliance
• Strong problem-solving and process improvement skills
• Bachelor's Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, Materials or Metallurgical Engineering
