PRODUCTION ENGINEER

Job Responsibilities:

• To drive for improvements in term of output, utilization, cost and manpower savings.
• To improve rejection rates, identifying root cause and fixing root causes.
• To develop operation instruction, process improvement, preparation of production documents such as check list, equipment maintenance list, production monitoring record and others.
• To ensure all machinists have adequate training and competencies level are up to performing standard.
• To partner up with planner and other relevant personnel to ensure on time delivery, performance optimization and continuous improvement.
• To run machine as and when required.
• To participate in companies, customers and any audits and work on non-conformance and improvements identified during the audits.
• To maintain work discipline, teamwork, and communication always with supervisors and machinists.
• To ensure that quality system and procedures are always adhered by all production personnel.

What to expect:

• To assist Production Manager in overseeing production related matters from output, loading, schedule, machine performance, manpower performance, rejection rate and continuous improvements in manufacturing.
• To assist in managing production floor and its employees to ensure production performance meets with the required delivery targets and quality standards efficiently and effectively.

Reporting to: Manager and HOD

Direct Report: N/A

Indirect Report: Supervisors, Leaders and Machinists

Experience and Personality Preference:

• At least 1 year experience in a manufacturing environment.

Skills, Knowledge Requirements:

• Good interpersonal, communication skills, teamwork, and aggressive personality.
• High integrity with good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• PC literate and able to use Microsoft Office software packages.
• Self-starter, motivated, minimum supervision.
• Able to work independently as well must have decision making knowledge.
• Must be able to work under pressure and meet demands of the job.

Education:

Bachelor of Science in Engineering / Manufacturing.

Working Relationship:

Internal: Managers, Engineers, other departments Engineers and productions colleagues.

External: Respective suppliers and customers.
