Production Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and monitor daily production activities to achieve production targets.
• Ensure production is carried out according to approved production plans, drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Monitor machine performance, production output, cycle time, and process efficiency.
• Identify and resolve production-related issues, machine breakdowns, and process problems.
• Improve manufacturing processes to increase productivity and reduce production costs.
• Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Stores, Purchase, and other departments to ensure uninterrupted production.
• Monitor manpower utilization and allocate resources effectively.
• Ensure proper utilization of raw materials, tools, machines, and other production resources.
• Implement 5S, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Analyze production data and prepare daily/weekly/monthly production reports.
• Investigate rejection, rework, and process deviations and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure adherence to company quality procedures, work instructions, and safety requirements.
• Maintain proper production records, process documentation, and shift reports.
• Train and guide operators and production staff on processes, safety, and quality requirements.
• Support preventive maintenance activities and coordinate with the maintenance team to minimize machine downtime.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and applicable manufacturing standards.

Required Qualifications

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering.
• Relevant experience in a manufacturing/production environment.
• Good knowledge of manufacturing processes and production planning.
• Knowledge of 5S, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, and basic problem-solving techniques.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and understand manufacturing specifications.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel and production reporting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and team-management skills.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems.
• Knowledge of 7 QC Tools, Root Cause Analysis, CAPA, and Pareto analysis.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 and quality management systems.
• Knowledge of OEE, productivity improvement, cycle-time reduction, and process optimization.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
