Production Engineer

A sheet metal production manager oversees the end-to-end fabrication and stamping processes. They are responsible for driving production efficiency, managing shop-floor operations, enforcing quality and safety protocols, and leading the team to meet production goals. Key Responsibilities

• Operations & Scheduling: Plan and execute daily/weekly production schedules based on customer requirements, equipment capacity, and material availability.
• Process Oversight: Direct fabrication and stamping operations including CNC laser cutting, turret punching, bending, shearing, welding, and assembly.
• Quality Control: Enforce strict adherence to engineering drawings, tolerances, and quality standards (e.g., ISO, IATF), ensuring minimal scrap, rework, and defect rates.
• Equipment Maintenance: Oversee machinery utilization and implement preventive maintenance programs to reduce unplanned downtime for critical presses and fabrication tools.
• Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and evaluate floor supervisors and operators; manage shift scheduling and labor productivity.
• Continuous Improvement: Lead lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., 5S, Kaizen, Six Sigma) to optimize cycle times, tact times, and material waste.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience: 10–15+ years in sheet metal fabrication, heavy fabrication, or press parts manufacturing (often required by Tier-1 automotive or appliance suppliers).
• Technical Skills: Ability to read blueprints, interpret engineering drawings, and understand Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Software: Hands-on experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software, CAD/CAM systems, and production reporting.
• Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
