Production Engineer

Job Summary

The Production Engineer is responsible for supporting daily production operations, improving manufacturing processes, monitoring production performance, and helping ensure that products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and according to quality standards. This position is suitable for a fresh graduate who is willing to learn and develop technical and production management skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Support daily production activities and ensure production targets are achieved.
• Monitor production processes, output, productivity, downtime, and efficiency.
• Assist in identifying and resolving production issues and process abnormalities.
• Analyze production data and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
• Assist in implementing process improvements to increase productivity and reduce waste.
• Support troubleshooting of production equipment and coordinate with Maintenance when required.
• Monitor compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
• Assist in developing and updating process documentation, work instructions, and production standards.
• Conduct time studies, process observations, and basic capacity analysis.
• Support root-cause analysis and corrective/preventive action activities.
• Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Warehouse, Planning, and other departments to resolve production issues.
• Monitor material usage and help minimize production waste, rejects, and losses.
• Assist in implementing Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Participate in new product, process, equipment, and production line implementation.
• Ensure compliance with company safety, quality, and environmental policies.
• Perform other engineering and production-related duties assigned by the supervisor or manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering field.
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Basic knowledge of manufacturing and production processes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Ability to analyze data and prepare reports.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willing to work in a manufacturing/production environment.
• Willing to work on a shifting schedule, overtime, weekends, or holidays when required.
• Highly motivated, organized, detail-oriented, and willing to learn.
