Production Engineer

Job Description.

Production Support

·       Monitor daily production performance, welding quality, and process stability.

·       Ensure production meets safety, quality, delivery, and productivity targets.

·       Coordinate with teams to support smooth operations on the shop floor.

Troubleshooting & Problem Solving

·       Respond to production issues and take immediate corrective and preventive actions.

·       Troubleshoot production-related issues and coordinate with Maintenance to reduce downtime.

·       Analyze defects and support quality improvement activities.

Quality Monitoring

·       Track defect trends and identify root causes to prevent recurrence.

·       Ensure production follows standard work, work instructions, and quality criteria.

·       Implement corrective actions to reduce rework, scrap, and process variation.

Continuous Improvement

·       Participate in Kaizen, Lean, and cost-reduction projects in the production area.

·       Improve workflow to enhance productivity and material flow.

·       Support activities to reduce cycle time and improve OEE in assigned processes.

Training & Documentation

·       Train operators and production staff on work instructions, standard procedures, and quality requirements.

·       Update standard operating procedures (SOP), work instructions (WI), and process documents as needed.

·       Support new model/part introduction (NPI) in assigned production lines.

Cross-Functional Coordination

·       Work closely with Maintenance to ensure effective preventive maintenance.

·       Coordinate with Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, and Logistics for smooth production activities.

Support prototype builds and ramp-up during new model introduction (NPI).

People Management

·       Management and Control manpower leave and absent in production team.

Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Automotive Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 3-5 years experience in automotive manufacturing or mass-production environment.
• Knowledge in production processes, problem-solving tools (5 Why, Fishbone), Lean Manufacturing, and Quality Systems.
• Experienced with Manpower management.
• Good English and Thai communication and coordination skills with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work in fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environments.
• Demonstrate ability to: Organizational and problem-solving skills, Ability to develop and implement strategic plans and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Computer literacy (Excel, PowerPoint, MS Office).
