Role Description

The Production Engineer will be responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations for custom power distribution products in the Tulsa Metropolitan Area. This full-time, on-site role includes planning and coordinating production activities, optimizing processes, and ensuring that units are built to specification, on schedule, and with high quality standards. The person in this role will collaborate closely with engineering, procurement, and shop-floor teams to translate customer requirements into efficient production workflows. Typical tasks include monitoring performance metrics, troubleshooting process issues, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and maintaining documentation for production procedures and quality checks. The Production Engineer will also contribute to safety practices and help ensure compliance with relevant industry and company standards.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Production Engineering and production planning skills to manage and improve manufacturing workflows.
• Candidates should possess analytical skills to interpret production data, identify root causes of issues, and support continuous improvement.
• Candidates should possess quality control skills to ensure products meet technical specifications and company standards.
• Candidates should possess effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and convey technical information clearly.
• Relevant experience in manufacturing or industrial engineering within electrical or power distribution environments is beneficial.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing, process optimization, and safety practices is advantageous.
• Bachelor’s degree in Production Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field is preferred.

Ability to work on-site in the Tulsa Metropolitan Area and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.

Schedule and Compensation

This is a full-time position with a Monday through Friday schedule, working on-site in Tulsa, OK. American Power Innovations offers a competitive compensation and benefits package.
