Production Engineer- Electrical Department

Job Purpose

To effectively manage and supervise day-to-day production activities within the Electrical Production Department, ensuring timely production, product quality, process compliance, optimum utilization of manpower and materials, and adherence to company safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and monitor daily production activities as per the approved production plan.
• Supervise the manufacturing and assembly of elevator/lift electrical systems, control panels, wiring, and related electrical assemblies.
• Ensure production activities are carried out as per approved Electrical Drawings, BOMs, Work Instructions, and SOPs.
• Read and interpret electrical circuit diagrams, wiring diagrams, schematics, and panel drawings.
• Monitor electrical panel assembly, wiring, component mounting, termination, labeling, and testing.
• Ensure production targets are achieved within the defined quality and delivery timelines.
• Coordinate with Design, Purchase, Stores, Quality, Maintenance, Projects, and Dispatch departments for smooth production flow.
• Ensure availability and proper utilization of manpower, materials, tools, and equipment.
• Identify and resolve production-related technical issues and minimize rejection and rework.
• Monitor production quality and ensure compliance with defined inspection and testing procedures.
• Prepare and maintain daily production reports, production records, checklists, and other relevant documentation.
• Guide, train, and supervise production technicians and operators.
• Ensure compliance with Safety, 5S, Quality Management Systems, and company procedures.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, productivity enhancement, and reduction of material wastage.
• Support management in achieving production, quality, cost, and delivery objectives.

Educational Qualifications

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical / Electronics Engineering from a recognized institution.
• Additional technical certifications related to electrical manufacturing or industrial automation will be an advantage.

Experience & Technical Skills

• Minimum 4–5 years of relevant experience in electrical production/manufacturing.
• Experience in Elevator/Lift Manufacturing Industry will be highly preferred.
• Practical knowledge of elevator electrical systems, control panels, wiring, electrical components, and testing.
• Good understanding of electrical drawings, schematics, BOMs, and wiring diagrams.
• Experience in production planning, shop-floor supervision, and team handling.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of Quality Control, 5S, Safety, and Lean/continuous improvement practices.
• Working knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, and production documentation.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Candidates with 4–5+ years of relevant experience in Elevator/Lift Manufacturing – Electrical Production will be preferred.
• Experience in elevator control panels, lift wiring, electrical assembly, testing, and troubleshooting will be an added advantage.
• Candidates who can independently manage shop-floor electrical production activities and coordinate with production teams are preferred.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
