Production Engineer ( Mechanics)

About the role

GPV Asia (Thailand) Co., Ltd. is seeking a Production Engineer (Mechanics) to join our dynamic engineering team. This is a full-time position based in Mueang Samut Prakan, Samut Prakan. As a Production Engineer, you will play a crucial role in optimising our mechanical production processes, ensuring efficient operations, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety across our manufacturing facilities. This position is integral to our commitment to delivering excellence in mechanical engineering solutions and will directly contribute to the company's operational success and competitive advantage in the market.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and optimise mechanical production processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and adherence to schedules
• Design, test and implement improvements to mechanical systems, components and manufacturing procedures
• Monitor equipment performance and conduct preventative and corrective maintenance planning
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, quality assurance and operations to resolve production challenges
• Prepare and maintain detailed technical documentation, production reports and performance metrics
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations throughout production operations
• Conduct root cause analysis on production issues and implement sustainable solutions
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing practices
• Liaise with suppliers and vendors to ensure quality standards of materials and components
• Train and mentor production staff on equipment operation and safety protocols

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline, or equivalent professional qualification
• Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience in production engineering or manufacturing environments
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, machinery operation and industrial processes
• Proficiency in CAD software and production management systems
• Demonstrated ability to analyse technical problems and implement practical solutions
• Excellent project management and organisational skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities with capacity to work effectively in team environments
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
• Familiarity with quality management systems and ISO standards
• Willingness to work on-site and adapt to shift requirements as needed
• Proficiency in English (written and verbal) is advantageous
