Production Engineer (Piping / Structural)

About the role

Production Engineer (Piping / Structural) supporting shop floor on structural steel fabrication on piping / mechanical fabrication / installation and related activities at Laem Chabang Industrial Estate, Chonburi.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with other disciplines i.e. piping, mechanical, E&I, QA/QC during construction works
• Material issue as per 6-week look ahead schedule
• Monitor and report progress of construction works
• Prepare detailed work procedure and sequence for sub-activities
• Coordinate shop drawing discrepancy with shop floor and Engineering office
• Prepare Site Instruction (SI's) for design change, work variations or clarification on fabrication discrepancy
• Prepare Technical Query (TQ's) when discrepancy cannot be resolved on shop floor
• Monitor and coordinate with out-sourced work package sub-contractors
• Review shop drawings for Fabrication (Technical Queries, Site Instruction and Approval from clients)
• Coordinate with Warehouse and Procurement Departments for materials status, specification, MWR (Materials Withdraw Request), MBPR and MTO

About you

• Bachelor Degree in Civil and Structural, Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering
• Minimum 3 years direct experience
• Competent in piping systems design
• Experience in Offshore Construction, Steel Fabrication, Mechanical and Piping
• Interpersonal skills and effective communication skills
• Negotiation skills
• Problem solving skills
• Ability to plan / schedule
