Production Engineer (Rx)

Objectives of the Position

To improve the Rx Surfacing process to achieve production, quality, productivity, and cost targets by controlling the process, solving problems, and improving work methods.

Responsibilities

• Follow up the production process to achieve department targets, especially production efficiency, yield, scrap, and rework.
• Control material usage to help reduce production costs.
• Ensure that production machines, equipment, and measuring tools are in good condition and ready for production.
• Test and evaluate new tools, equipment, and materials, and prepare test reports.
• Monitor and support the work of trainees in the production line.
• Study and improve production processes to increase efficiency and solve production problems.
• Follow up and control the process flow in the production line.
• Analyze production data and identify problems or areas for improvement.
• Work with other departments to solve production and quality problems.
• Support continuous improvement activities to improve productivity, quality, and cost.
• Take responsibility for assigned projects and follow up on actions until completion.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or related.
• 3–5 years of experience in Production Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related manufacturing field. Experience in the optical industry is an advantage.
• Experience in production supervision, production control, or process improvement is an advantage.
• Experience working with production machines and equipment.
• Knowledge of CNC machines and production equipment is an advantage.
• Knowledge of production planning and scheduling.
• Knowledge of manpower and resource planning.
• Knowledge of production processes and process improvement.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Good computer skills, especially Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of SAP is an advantage.
• Intermediate English communication skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Good problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions in unexpected situations.
• Able to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
• Able to work independently and take ownership of assigned tasks and projects.
• Ability to lead, train, and coach others.
