Production Engineer Supervisor

We are looking for a driven and hands-on Production Engineer Supervisor to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys leading production performance on the shop floor, improving processes, and solving real operational challenges.

You will play a key role in ensuring smooth production operations, improving efficiency, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

• Plan, monitor, and control production activities (daily / weekly) to achieve targets
• Analyze and improve yield, productivity, and efficiency to meet departmental goals
• Prepare and revise operational documents (WI, Risk Assessment, Training plans, etc.)
• Manage inventory control, including WIP, raw materials, and consumables
• Train and develop team leaders in safety, production processes, and technical skills
• Implement new technologies and ideas to enhance workforce capabilities
• Prepare and present weekly / monthly production reports to management
• Monitor employee performance and attendance, and report to supervisors
• Identify major or recurring issues and propose improvement plans
• Ensure team compliance with 5S, safety standards, and company regulations
• Work effectively in a structured environment aligned with Japanese management practices

✅ Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering

• Minimum 5 - 8 years of experience in production or manufacturing engineering

• Strong understanding of production processes and shop floor operations

• Experience in quality and productivity improvement

• Familiar with IATF16949, ISO14001 / ISO45001, QC 7 Tools, and PDCA methodology

• Proven experience in team supervision or leadership is highly preferred

• Experience working in a Japanese manufacturing environment (Advantage)

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Good presentation, communication, and teamwork skills

• Continuous improvement mindset (Lean / Kaizen is a plus)

• Good command of English (spoken and written)

• Proficient in computer skills (e.g., MS Office, reporting tools, or production-related systems)
