Production Engineer (URGENT HIRING)

A. Responsibilities and Authorities

1)    Ensure smooth and efficient production operations to achieve production targets.

2)    Manage daily production matters, including work schedules, attendance, discipline, raw material availability, documentation, and reporting.

3)    Develop and maintain Work Instructions (WI) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to guide production processes.

4)    Analyse production data, maintain accurate system records, and monitor daily, weekly, and monthly production targets.

5)    Lead on-site production operations to ensure workflow efficiency and timely resolution of operational issues.

6)    Supervise and manage production personnel, including Supervisors, Leaders, and Operators, through task assignment, on-the-job guidance, and performance monitoring.

7)    Ensure compliance with safety, quality, operational, and ISO 9001 requirements on the production floor.

8)    Identify production issues and implement corrective actions to improve productivity, product quality, and operational efficiency.

9)    Perform other duties as assigned by Management.

B. Requirements & Qualification

1)    Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, Materials Engineering, or other related fields.

2)    Proficient in MS Excel and MS Office.

3)    At least 3 years of relevant working experience.

4)    Proactive, results-oriented, and positive-minded.

5)    Strong leadership, people management, and problem-solving skills.

6)    Good spoken and written communication skills in Malay and English. Mandarin speakers are preferred to facilitate communication with Management and the Technical Team from China.

D. Job Competency

1)    Reporting and data analysis skills.

2)    Understanding of machine functions.

3)    Understanding of raw material specifications.

4)    Awareness of how work activities affect product quality.

5)    Knowledge of ISO 9001 requirements and compliance.

6)    Understanding of the consequences of non-compliance with ISO 9001 requirements.

7)    Experience in implementing and maintaining ISO 9001 quality management systems.
