Job Summary

We are looking for a experienced Production Engineer(Gear Box) to manage the Gear Box Section at our factory. The ideal candidate should have a good experience in managing the production of plants, machinery, and capital goods, with the ability to read, interpret, and prepare detailed mechanical and assembly drawings. Hands-on experience with conventional manufacturing machines is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Manufacturing Assembly and Testing of Gear Boxes
• Plan and execute production activities for gear box components and assemblies
• Ensure machining, heat treatment, and assembly as per drawings & tolerances
• Monitor gear accuracy, backlash, noise, and performance quality
• Reduce rejection, rework, and assembly issues through root cause analysis
• Optimize machine, manpower, and line utilization
• Coordinate preventive maintenance to avoid breakdowns
• Control production cost, material wastage, and tool consumption
• Ensure compliance with safety, 5S, and shop floor discipline
• Coordinate with QA, Design, PPC, and Maintenance teams
• Ensure on-time delivery of gear boxes as per production plan

Desired Candidate Profile

• 5-8 years of experience in a manufacturing company dealing with plants & machinery / capital goods.
• Strong hands-on exposure to conventional manufacturing machines (not CNC).
• Preference for candidates from the Cooling Towers /Heavy Engineering(C/T) industry.
• Should be technically sound with Assembly & Testing, and plant manufacturing processes.
• Strong leadership, communication, and team-handling skills.

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
