Production Engineering / Machining

Role & responsibilities

• Support production engineering activities and machining process improvement in a manufacturing environment.
• Assist with the installation, commissioning and maintenance of production equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and support troubleshooting of machinery.
• Prepare and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and technical documentation.
• Identify opportunities to improve production efficiency, product quality and workplace safety.
• Participate in Kaizen and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Work closely with production and engineering teams to optimize manufacturing processes.
• Learn and contribute to long-term production engineering operations in Japan.

Preferred candidate profile

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Production, Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechatronics, Automobile Engineering or a related engineering/science discipline.
• Japanese language proficiency of JLPT N3 or above.
• Must be able to communicate comfortably in Japanese in a workplace environment.
• Candidates interested in production engineering, machining and manufacturing operations are preferred.
• Basic knowledge of machinery, manufacturing processes and equipment maintenance is an advantage.
• Must be willing to learn new technical skills and work collaboratively with Japanese colleagues.
• Should demonstrate honesty, sincerity, humility, politeness, a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
• Must be interested in long-term employment and career development in Japan.
