Production Engineering Manager

We are seeking an experienced Production Engineering Manager to lead manufacturing operations and drive continuous improvement across the production floor.

Job Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and oversee the day-to-day production of fire-rated doors to meet On Time In Full delivery targets against approved BOM/BOQ/PO schedules
• Manage production capacity planning, manpower allocation, and machine utilization across all production lines
• Ensure all products are manufactured in accordance with BOMBA fire-rating certification requirements and internal QC/QA standards
• Drive productivity, yield, and cost efficiency initiatives
• Coordinate closely with Sales, QS, Procurement, and Logistics to align production schedules with progress claims and project delivery timelines
• Lead, train, supervise, and appraise production supervisors, line leaders, and factory operators (including foreign workers)
• Prepare daily/weekly/monthly production reports, KPI dashboards, and management updates
• Ensure compliance with factory licensing, safety audits, and environmental regulations (DOE/eSWIS as applicable)

Job Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical/Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering or related field
• Minimum 5–8 years' experience in a production process or engineering role, preferably in door manufacturing, metal fabrication, joinery, or related building materials manufacturing
• Good knowledge of BOMBA fire-door certification standards is an added advantage
• Familiarity with HIRARC, OSHA/DOSH compliance, and factory safety management
• Hands-on experience with ERP/MRP systems, production planning, and inventory control
• Proven people-management skills, including managing foreign worker teams
• Strong problem-solving, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement mindset
• Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin an advantage for supplier/worker communication
• Willing to be based in Batang Kali, Selangor
