Production Engineering Manager (Japanese Speaker)

• Lead the introduction, installation, and start-up of new production lines and manufacturing equipment.
• Promote local procurement of manufacturing equipment to improve cost competitiveness.
• Lead projects involving the transfer and installation of molding dies and molds.
• Manage the ROI, budget, and schedule of capital investment projects.
• Troubleshoot existing equipment issues and implement improvement activities.
• Drive automation initiatives to improve productivity and reduce manpower requirements.
• Establish quality equivalency in close coordination with the Japan Head Office.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and equipment optimization.
• Manage and develop the production engineering team.
• Communicate and coordinate closely with the Japan Head Office regarding technical, production, and quality-related matters.
• Ensure the stable, safe, and efficient operation of manufacturing equipment and production systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Must have a valid JLPT certificate
• Japanese language proficiency sufficient for business communication with the Japan Head Office.
• Experience in production engineering, manufacturing engineering, maintenance, or a related technical function within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience managing manufacturing equipment, production lines, or capital investment projects.
• Injection molding experience is preferred, but candidates with experience in other manufacturing technologies or production equipment will also be considered.
• Strong project management, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Experience in team management and employee development.
• Knowledge of automation, equipment improvement, and cost-reduction initiatives is an advantage.
