Production Equipment Maintenance Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Production Equipment Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of production equipment to ensure optimal operational efficiency. Your expertise in industrial mechanics, electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) will be essential to keep our manufacturing processes running smoothly. Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on production machinery and equipment to minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control system issues using schematics, blueprints, and diagnostic tools such as voltmeters, ammeters, ohmmeters, and low/high voltage testers.
• Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to document work orders, track maintenance history, and schedule preventive tasks.
• Conduct electrical diagnostics and repairs on systems including electrical blueprint reading and engineering troubleshooting techniques.
• Maintain proficiency with industrial equipment such as HVAC/R systems, scissor lifts, welding tools (stick welding), and precision measuring instruments for accurate repairs.
• Diagnose complex issues involving programmable logic controllers (PLCs), electrical systems, hydraulic circuits, and pneumatic controls to restore equipment functionality efficiently.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing equipment performance data and recommending upgrades or modifications to enhance reliability.

Requirements

• Proven experience working within manufacturing facilities or industrial environments with a strong understanding of industrial maintenance practices.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot electrical systems using schematics and blueprints; experience with electrical diagnostics tools including voltmeters, ammeters, ohmmeters, and multimeters.
• Knowledge of HVAC/R systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical repair techniques such as stick welding.
• Familiarity with CMMS software for maintenance tracking and reporting.
• Ability to read electrical blueprints and schematics accurately; experience with engineering troubleshooting methods preferred.
• Strong analysis skills combined with customer service orientation to effectively communicate technical issues and solutions.
• Certifications or experience in industrial electrician work or industrial mechanic roles are highly desirable.
• Capable of performing physical tasks such as lifting heavy equipment or operating scissor lifts safely; valid certification where applicable.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on safety standards related to high voltage (HVAC/R) systems and electrical maintenance procedures in a fast-paced environment.
