Production Executive

Job Summary

Responsible for supervising and executing the manufacturing activities of ointments and liquid pharmaceutical products while ensuring compliance with cGMP, approved procedures, production targets, quality standards, and safety requirements.

Role & responsibilities

• Supervise and manage the manufacturing of ointments and liquid pharmaceutical products.
• Independently handle production activities related to ointment and liquid manufacturing processes.
• Monitor and coordinate operations in batch preparation, filling, and washing areas.
• Ensure dispensing of raw materials according to the approved grade, strength, and quantity.
• Verify and document line clearance before starting manufacturing, formulation, filling, and equipment operations, as applicable.
• Execute daily production plans by effectively utilizing manpower, equipment, and other resources.
• Ensure optimum utilization of raw materials, packing materials, equipment, and manpower to achieve production targets.
• Maintain Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR), equipment logbooks, and other production documents contemporaneously.
• Monitor production yields and investigate deviations from established yield limits.
• Ensure manufacturing activities comply with approved procedures, cGMP requirements, and company quality standards.
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and housekeeping in all manufacturing areas.
• Ensure production equipment is maintained in good working condition and coordinate maintenance activities when required.
• Assist in pilot-scale trials, process validation, and product development activities.
• Ensure production personnel follow personal hygiene requirements and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including masks, gloves, and safety shoes.
• Coordinate with Quality Assurance (QA), Quality Control (QC), Engineering, and Warehouse teams to ensure smooth production operations.

Preferred candidate profile

• B. Pharm or M. Pharm.
• B.Sc./M.Sc. in Chemistry, depending on the company's approved qualification criteria and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Candidates should have knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing, cGMP, documentation, and safety procedures.
