Production Facade Designer

Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled Production Facade Designer with experience in facade design, production drawings, and technical detailing for building envelope systems. The ideal candidate should be proficient in Revit, Autodesk Inventor, and AutoCAD, with the ability to prepare accurate and detailed drawings, fabrication plans, and construction documentation based on project requirements.

The successful candidate will collaborate with engineers, architects, and project teams to ensure facade components are properly detailed and ready for fabrication and installation.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed production drawings, fabrication drawings, and shop drawings for facade systems.
• Develop and modify 2D and 3D models using Revit, Autodesk Inventor, and AutoCAD.
• Create detailed component drawings, assembly drawings, and technical documentation for facade manufacturing and installation.
• Interpret architectural drawings, structural drawings, specifications, and design documents.
• Coordinate facade components, connections, dimensions, and interfaces with other building systems.
• Ensure drawings and models comply with project specifications, design standards, and manufacturing requirements.
• Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, dimensions, tolerances, and constructability.
• Revise drawings and models based on engineering feedback, design changes, and project requirements.
• Coordinate with design engineers, architects, production teams, and other stakeholders to resolve technical issues.
• Maintain organized drawing files, revisions, and production documentation.
• Support the production and fabrication process by providing accurate technical details and clarifications.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Degree or diploma in Engineering, Architecture, Drafting, or a related technical field is preferred.
• Relevant experience in facade design, facade production, architectural drafting, or fabrication detailing.
• Proficiency in Revit, Autodesk Inventor, and AutoCAD.
• Experience preparing production drawings, shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and technical details.
• Knowledge of facade systems, building envelope components, aluminum framing, curtain walls, glazing, cladding, or similar systems is an advantage.
• Ability to interpret architectural and structural drawings and technical specifications.
• Strong understanding of dimensions, tolerances, component detailing, and assembly requirements.
• Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving, and technical drawing skills.
• Good written and verbal English communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment and collaborate with an international team.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working with US-based clients or international construction projects.
• Familiarity with fabrication and manufacturing processes for facade systems.
• Experience coordinating 2D drawings with 3D models.
• Knowledge of BIM workflows, drawing revision control, and quality assurance procedures.
