Production - Head

Role & responsibilities

The Production Head is responsible for leading end-to-end API manufacturing operations, including production planning, raw material planning, inventory management, raw material costing, process optimization, regulatory compliance, safety management, and team leadership. The role ensures achievement of production targets while maintaining quality, cost efficiency, and compliance with cGMP and regulatory requirements.

Preferred candidate profile

• Responsible for developing and executing annual, quarterly, and monthly production plans to ensure timely delivery while maximizing plant capacity utilization.
• The role oversees raw material planning, inventory management, and coordination with Procurement to ensure uninterrupted availability of critical materials and optimum inventory levels.
• The incumbent monitors production schedules, batch planning, and manufacturing performance to achieve productivity, yield, and quality targets.
• Responsibilities include analyzing BOMs, controlling raw material costs, improving process efficiencies, and driving cost-reduction initiatives through yield enhancement and waste minimization.
• The Production Head leads API manufacturing operations in compliance with approved SOPs, BMRs, cGMP, and regulatory requirements while ensuring efficient utilization of equipment and resources.
• The position also drives continuous improvement initiatives through Lean Manufacturing and operational excellence programs to enhance productivity, quality, and profitability.
• Minimum experience of participating / face in and leading 35 successful regulatory audits/inspections by international agencies such as WHO-GMP (Geneva), EDQM, ANVISA, USFDA, MHRA, and other global regulatory authorities.
