Production Incharge -Mechanical

A Production In-Charge for Profile and CTL Machines oversees the daily manufacturing operations, machinery maintenance, and workforce management of sheet metal/coil processing lines. The role ensures optimal throughput, minimal downtime, and strict adherence to dimensional tolerances and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities1. Production Planning & Execution

• Daily Target Management: Plan and execute shift-wise production schedules to meet delivery timelines for profile layouts and cut-to-length sheets.
• Material Optimization: Minimize scrap, yield loss, and coil end-wastes during slitting, leveling, and cutting processes.
• Process Monitoring: Supervise the operation of high-speed CTL lines, decoilers, straighteners/levelers, and profiling/roll-forming machines.

2. Mechanical Maintenance & Machine Troubleshooting

• Preventative Maintenance: Schedule and oversee routine maintenance of mechanical components including hydraulic presses, shears, leveling rollers, gears, and pneumatic systems.
• Tooling & Die Management: Manage the setup, changeover, and calibration of profiling rolls and cutting dies to maintain sharp, burr-free cuts.
• Breakdown Resolution: Diagnose and quickly resolve mechanical failures to minimize line downtime.

3. Quality Assurance & Precision Control

• Dimensional Accuracy: Ensure all outputs strictly match blueprint specifications regarding length, flatness, diagonal squareness, and profile geometry.
• Defect Prevention: Monitor and eliminate common defects such as camber, coil break, roll marks, and surface scratches.
• Instrument Calibration: Regularly check measuring systems, encoders, and automated stacking equipment.

4. Team Leadership & Safety

• Manpower Allocation: Allocate skilled operators and helpers across the CTL and profiling lines for maximum efficiency.
• Safety Compliance: Enforce the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) around heavy coil-handling equipment and overhead cranes.
• 5S Implementation: Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free shop floor environment.

Technical & Professional Requirements

• Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Mechanical Engineering or Production Engineering.
• Experience: 3 to 7+ years of hands-on experience specifically in Coil Processing, Roll Forming (Profiling), and Cut-to-Length (CTL) plants.
• Key Skills:
• Deep understanding of hydraulic systems, shear mechanisms, and leveling theories.
• Experience with heavy equipment handling (e.g., Uncoilers, Loopers, Stacking systems).
• Ability to read complex engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Basic knowledge of PLC-controlled automated machinery operations.

Experience:

• total work: 5-10 year (Preferred)

Age limit:

• 28-45 yrs (preferred)

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Mechanical engineering, , or similar (Relevant)Preferred.
