Production Inventory Control Specialist

Description:

The P&IC Specialist is responsible for coordinating inventory control, production support, and shipping activities to ensure on-time delivery and operational efficiency. This role manages purchase expediting, inventory accuracy, and shipping performance while supporting production schedules and optimizing working capital.

Job Description:

• Implement improvement processes to improve On Time Delivery to Customer Request Date
• Manage system data to minimize costs and optimize working capital
• Lead and manage inventory transactions
• Execute cycle counting program
• Audit and correct ship floor data to ensure accurate production reporting and inventory tracking
• Ensure work orders are correct and fully completed and that all stock has been allocated to the job correctly
• Ensure integrity and accuracy of the stock management system
• Produce daily reports to ensure key critical areas of the stock system are controlled and any discrepancies addressed are resolved
• Manage control measures to ensure system errors, mistakes, inaccuracies, and discrepancies are highlighted, addressed, and resolved.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate supply chain activities to ensure material availability aligned with production schedules.
• Ensure accurate and timely shipping of All Products
• Maintain accurate inventory levels through cycle counting, reconciliation, and system updates
• Support On Time Delivery Performance Targets of 98%+
• Ensure 100% compliance with cycle count programs.

Requirements:

• Experience in inventory management, purchasing, or supply chain management.
• Strong understanding of MRP, ERP systems, and inventory control processes.
• Process excellent verbal and written communication skills for a demanding and customer focused working environment.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
• Possess the willingness to learn, improve, and adapt.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Outlook) and ERP Systems.
• APICS certification preferred.
