Production Lead

Reports To: Production Manager Location: 2030 W Quail Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85027

Position Overview: As a Production Lead, you’ll work as part of a fast-paced team to make sure our coffee and tea are packaged and prepared for distribution to the many Vita drinkers out there. Production Leads utilize various machinery to support productivity including Weigh & Fill, industrial grinders, sealers & scales, form/fill/seal machines, etc. You will assist with maintenance and upkeep of these machines while learning how to operate them safely and efficiently. Additionally, you are leading and guiding the production team on a daily basis to manage the work of the day. Ideal candidates will be highly detail-oriented, proactive, and have excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and work as part of a fastpaced team to complete daily orders and stocking.
• Accurately read production reports and ensure the correct coffee is produced for daily fulfillment.
• Learn and master the use of equipment in the production of coffee and tea products.
• Communicate with other team members on a regular basis to ensure production meets fulfillment’s needs.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of the production workspace is maintained.
• Keep all workstations organized, tidy and wellstocked with high use consumables.
• Maintain up to date knowledge on all Caffe Vita products, packaging and equipment.
• Ensure Caffe Vita’s superior quality is represented in every product and all services.
• Fully understand and execute all safety, quality, and sanitation policies and procedures, including but not limited to HACCP, GMP, OSHA, etc.
• Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of the work environment.
• Have reliable, consistent, and on time attendance to scheduled shifts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years manufacturing experience.
• Minimum of 1 year in a leadership or supervisory capacity in the manufacturing industry.
• Strong grasp of OSHA, GMP and Food Safety guidelines, certifications preferred.
• Forklift operator certification.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Superior organizational, planning and time management skills.
• Work well individually and with a team.
• Safely lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
• Safely operate pallet jack.
• Ability to give and receive constructive feedback in any given situation.
