Production Leader

1) Production Management & Planning

• Plan and organize daily production activities according to production schedules and priorities.
• Plan and allocate manpower, materials, tools, machines, and other resources to meet production requirements.
• Lead and manage production operators to achieve daily production, quality, and delivery targets.
• Assign tasks and ensure proper manpower allocation.
• Monitor production progress and processes to minimize downtime, wastage, and production losses.
• Identify potential production constraints and take appropriate action to maintain production flow.
• Ensure sufficient materials, tools, and equipment are available for production.
• Coordinate with Planning, Warehouse, Engineering, Purchasing, and Quality departments to resolve production issues.

2) Quality Management

• Ensure products meet required specifications, engineering drawings, work instructions, and quality standards.
• Conduct in-process inspections and guide operators on defect prevention.
• Identify, report, and escalate quality issues.
• Support corrective actions and continuous improvement to prevent recurring quality problems.

3) Safety & Workplace Management

• Ensure operators follow SOPs, safety procedures, and 5S requirements.
• Conduct regular safety and 5S inspections and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Ensure workstations, tools, materials, and equipment are properly organized and maintained.
• Conduct daily safety and basic equipment checks.
• Report accidents, hazards, and unsafe practices immediately.
• Ensure proper use and basic care of production equipment, tools, and machinery.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized production environment.

4) People Management

• Provide on-the-job training, coaching, and guidance to operators.
• Monitor team performance, attendance, discipline, and work practices.
• Motivate team members to achieve production and performance goals.
• Act as the communication link between operators and management.

5) Reporting & Continuous Improvement

• Record daily production data, including output, rejects, downtime, and other relevant information.
• Prepare and submit daily production reports.
• Support department and company KPI achievement.
• Participate in audits, problem-solving, 5S and continuous improvement activities.
• Carry out other duties assigned by the superior or Management.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Minimum SPM, Certificate, or Diploma in Manufacturing, Engineering, or related field.
• 2–4 years of manufacturing/production experience, with supervisory or team-leading experience preferred.
• Good knowledge of production processes, machinery, quality, and safety requirements.
• Able to read and understand work instructions, technical documents, and engineering drawings.
• Good leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Able to communicate in Bahasa Malaysia and English; Mandarin is an advantage.
• Able to work independently and manage daily production priorities.
