Production Line Operations Lead – Food Processing

Location: Manteno, IL

Compensation: $20.00–$24.00 per hour | Pay Schedule: Weekly

A day on the floor

You start your shift by reviewing the staffing plan and placing the right people on the right production lines. With the lines warming up, you verify product codes and check that machines and supporting equipment are set and safe. As work ramps up, you coach teammates, reinforce safety practices, and jump in on line set-ups and changeovers to keep throughput steady. Throughout the day, you log production data, complete required paperwork, and monitor quality benchmarks—flagging process improvements and resolving safety concerns as they arise.

Core responsibilities

• Build daily schedules and assign associates across multiple production lines
• Confirm codes and conduct machine/equipment checks at shift start
• Train team members on role expectations and safety procedures
• Support line set-ups, changeovers, and smooth handoffs
• Complete daily documentation and enter critical data into systems
• Safeguard product quality while driving process improvements
• Identify, escalate, and resolve safety risks

What you bring

• Hands-on experience in a food manufacturing environment
• Background as a Group Lead, Line Lead, Floor Lead, or Supervisor
• Clear, confident communication and team leadership skills
• Proven ability to manage several lines safely and efficiently
• Reliability, accuracy, and a detail-first mindset
