PRODUCTION MANAGER – BAKERY MANUFACTURING

Job Location

Job Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee daily bakery production operations.
• Plan and coordinate production schedules to meet targets and deadlines.
• Ensure efficient use of manpower, raw materials, equipment, and production resources.
• Supervise, lead, train, and manage production staff.
• Monitor production output, productivity, quality, and wastage.
• Ensure all products meet required quality, food safety, and hygiene standards.
• Implement and maintain food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety procedures.
• Monitor machinery and equipment performance to minimize downtime.
• Coordinate with QA/QC, Maintenance, Warehouse, and Supply Chain teams.
• Manage raw material inventory and ensure sufficient materials for production.
• Identify production issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Review and improve production processes to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
• Monitor production costs and support cost-control initiatives.
• Prepare and maintain production reports, records, and performance metrics.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in line with company objectives.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant food manufacturing regulations.
• Perform other production-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Manufacturing, Engineering, or related field is preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Office, and Outlook.
• Fluent in Mandarin (required for communication with Mandarin-speaking customers).
• Preferably 5 years experience in food or bakery manufacturing production management.
• Experience in production planning, coordination, and production line supervision.
• Strong knowledge of food safety, quality control, hygiene, and regulatory requirements.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Experience in staff training and performance management.
• Able to analyze production data and identify areas for improvement.
• Knowledge of inventory management and production cost control.
• Proficient in MS Office / basic computer applications for reporting and documentation.
• Experience in high-volume and fast-paced manufacturing, preferably bakery or FMCG, will be an advantage.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Willing to work flexible hours when required.
