What they need

As a Production Manager you will join our Hardware team in Bordeaux and work closely with Quentin, our Head of Hardware.

Pony operates a fleet of 12,000 e-bikes and scooters deployed across 23 cities in Europe. Pony offers purposefully engineered vehicles built to withstand intensive urban use. Our hardware team continuously improves them based on field testing and operational feedback, driven by a culture of operational excellence.

We’re looking for an intern to join a hands-on, fast-moving hardware team, supporting our production planning, managing supplier relationships, and helping ensure our fleet keeps growing smoothly across Europe. You will get real exposure to industrial supply chain and product development, on vehicles you’ll see in the streets every day.

Main Responsibilities

  • Plan production runs: Contribute to the preparation of upcoming builds and maintain production timelines to keep internal teams and external partners aligned on priorities and deadlines.
  • Track supplier orders: Ensure component availability ahead of each production cycle, proactively follow up with suppliers and manage delays before they become blockers.
  • Manage day-to-day supplier relationships: Ensure clear, structured communication flows between all stakeholders, and stay in regular contact with key suppliers across bikes, scooters, batteries, and components to ensure reliable delivery.
  • Track product and component improvements: Support ongoing improvement initiatives, from electronic components (status lights, NFC readers) to mechanical parts integrated directly into the frame (battery holders) and help keep the development roadmap on track.- Education: Currently enrolled in a top engineering school
  • Project management: You are comfortable driving a topic forward, structure your approach, and move things forward proactively with the support of your team.
  • People skills: You communicate clearly and work well across teams and seniority levels. You will interact with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, with occasional on-site visits to suppliers or partners.
  • Organised and structured: You structure your work clearly, maintain accurate documentation, and follow through on every detail.
  • Fluent in French & English- Initial call with Laura, HR: a 30-minute conversation to align on expectations
  • Culture fit test: A short written exercise (10 minutes) to assess alignment with our values
  • Case study & Manager interview with Quentin, Head of Hardware: a hands-on exercise to assess your technical skills, followed by a discussion to present your results and go deeper into the role and expectations.
