About the role
A production manager in a flour and liquid bread manufacturing facility oversees daily processing, baking schedules, and food safety standards. They manage raw material silos, mixing and fermentation tanks, packaging lines, and plant staff to maximize output while keeping operational costs low.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor flour handling, liquid mixing, dough hydration, and baking or liquid-bread processing lines to ensure strict recipe and volume compliance
- Build and run daily/weekly production plans matching supply chain forecasts
- Enforce HACCP, GMP, and hygiene protocols to prevent contamination and ensure product consistency
- Coordinate maintenance for silos, mixers, pumps, and ovens to minimize costly line downtime
- Hire, train, and supervise shift supervisors and floor operators
- Track labor, material waste, and utility efficiency to stay on budget
About you
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Engineering, Operations Management, or related field
- 3 to 5 years in food or beverage manufacturing, ideally with baking or liquid processing experience
- HACCP or GMP certification preferred
- Strong lean manufacturing, problem-solving, and inventory tracking abilities
