About the role

We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to join our cigarette manufacturing facility in Sidoarjo, East Java. This is a full-time position that plays a critical role in overseeing daily production operations and ensuring we meet our quality, efficiency, and safety standards. As Production Manager, you will lead and motivate production teams, manage resources effectively, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational performance. This position is essential to our mission of delivering excellence and maintaining competitive advantage in the manufacturing sector.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily production operations and ensure all manufacturing processes run smoothly and efficiently
• Plan and schedule production activities to meet customer demands and delivery deadlines
• Manage, supervise, and develop production team members, including recruitment, training, and performance management
• Monitor production quality standards and implement corrective actions to address any deviations
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations across the production facility
• Optimise production workflows and identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements
• Maintain accurate production records, reports, and documentation
• Coordinate with other departments including procurement, quality assurance, and logistics to ensure seamless operations
• Conduct regular equipment maintenance checks and manage maintenance schedules
• Implement and promote a strong safety culture within the production environment

What we're looking for

• Proven minimum 5 years experience as a Production Manager or similar supervisory role within a CIGARETTE manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of production planning, scheduling, and inventory management in a CIGARETTE factory
• Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience managing and motivating teams of varying sizes
• Solid understanding of quality control standards and manufacturing best practices
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical specifications and production documentation
• Experience with production management systems and relevant manufacturing software
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to make decisions under pressure
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
• Commitment to health, safety, and environmental compliance
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
