Production Manager

Company Overview:

Our client is an established Malaysian manufacturer specialising in aluminium home products, Eco Art Panel and Aluminium Composite Panel (ACP). Headquartered in Muar, Johor, the company has built a strong presence in the building and property development industry, serving residential, commercial and hospitality projects.

About the role

The Production Manager oversees all aspects of manufacturing processes, ensuring efficient production while meeting quality, safety, and cost targets. This role requires strong leadership to optimize workflows, manage teams, and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and meet production schedules, ensuring on-time delivery of products.
• Monitor daily output, adjust resources (labor, materials, equipment) to meet demand.
• Implement lean manufacturing principles to minimize waste and maximize efficiency.
• Lead, train, and motivate production supervisors and line workers.
• Conduct performance reviews and address productivity or behavioral issues.
• Enforce strict quality control standards (e.g., ISO, SIRIM) and troubleshoot defects.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory requirements.
• Manage production budgets and reduce operational costs without compromising quality.
• Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure equipment uptime and preventive maintenance.
• Promote a culture of safety through training, audits, and incident investigations.

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or related field.
• 5+ years in production management (industry-specific experience preferred).
• Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), MS Office, and production software.
• Leadership, problem-solving, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
