- Job Summary
- We are looking for an experienced and organized *Production Manager*to manage the complete fashion production process, from design development and fabric sourcing to final delivery. The candidate will coordinate with designers, vendors, manufacturers, quality-control teams, and internal departments to ensure that all products are delivered on time, within budget, and according to the required quality standards.
- Key Responsibilities
- Plan, schedule, and monitor the complete production cycle for garments and fashion products.
- Coordinate with designers, pattern makers, merchandisers, vendors, and manufacturers.
- Convert approved designs and tech packs into production-ready garments.
- Prepare production timelines, Time and Action calendars, and delivery schedules.
- Source fabrics, trims, accessories, packaging materials, and other production requirements.
- Coordinate with factories, job workers, suppliers, and production vendors.
- Negotiate costing, production timelines, minimum order quantities, and commercial terms.
- Monitor sampling, fit approvals, size sets, pre-production samples, and bulk production.
- Ensure that garments meet approved specifications, measurements, fitting, finishing, and quality standards.
- Resolve production delays, quality issues, and operational bottlenecks.
- Monitor production costs, wastage, material consumption, and overall efficiency.
- Supervise production staff and coordinate with quality-control teams.
- Maintain records of purchase orders, production status, inventory, vendor details, and delivery reports.
- Coordinate with merchandising, design, sales, finance, and logistics teams.
- Ensure timely dispatch and delivery of finished products.
- Prepare regular production reports for senior management.
- Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Fashion Designing, Apparel Production, Textile Technology, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field.
- 5–8 years of relevant experience in fashion or garment production.
- Strong knowledge of garment construction, fabrics, trims, stitching, finishing, and production processes.
- Experience in vendor management, sourcing, costing, and negotiations.
- Good understanding of sampling, fit approvals, quality control, and bulk production.
- Strong planning, coordination, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and production-tracking tools.
- Strong leadership and team-management skills.
- Willingness to travel to factories, vendors, and production units when required.
