Production Manager

The Production Manager will oversee the overall production operations of the animal feeds manufacturing facility, ensuring efficient, safe, and cost-effective production while meeting quality standards, production targets, and delivery schedules. The role will lead production teams, optimize manufacturing processes, and ensure compliance with food/feed safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and oversee daily production activities to meet production targets and customer requirements.
• Manage the end-to-end manufacturing process, including raw material receiving, batching, grinding, mixing, pelleting, cooling, packing, and storage.
• Develop and monitor production schedules based on demand, inventory, and delivery requirements.
• Ensure products meet established quality, safety, nutritional, and feed manufacturing standards.
• Monitor production efficiency, yield, downtime, waste, and overall equipment performance.
• Identify production bottlenecks and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity, reduce production costs, minimize waste, and optimize manpower and equipment utilization.
• Coordinate closely with Quality Assurance, Maintenance, Warehouse, Procurement, and Logistics teams to ensure smooth production operations.
• Monitor the proper handling, storage, and availability of raw materials such as grains, soybean meal, vitamins, minerals, additives, and other feed ingredients.
• Ensure proper implementation of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), HACCP, feed safety, sanitation, and occupational safety procedures.
• Ensure production equipment and machinery are properly maintained and coordinate with the Maintenance team for preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Monitor production reports and analyze key performance indicators such as production volume, yield, downtime, rejection rate, wastage, and cost per ton.
• Investigate production deviations, quality issues, equipment failures, and process inefficiencies and implement appropriate corrective actions.
• Lead, train, coach, and evaluate production personnel to ensure productivity, discipline, safety, and adherence to standard operating procedures.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, government regulations, and applicable feed safety and manufacturing standards.
• Prepare regular production reports and provide recommendations to management regarding operational improvements and resource requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, Agricultural Engineering, Food Technology, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in production or manufacturing operations, preferably in animal feeds, livestock feeds, food, agricultural, or related manufacturing industries.
• At least 2–3 years of supervisory or managerial experience in a production environment.
• Strong knowledge of feed manufacturing processes, preferably grinding, mixing, pelleting, cooling, and packing.
• Experience in production planning, manpower management, quality control, and process improvement.
• Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, feed safety, and occupational health and safety standards.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, leadership, and decision-making skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and preferably experienced with ERP or production management systems.

Pay: Php70,000.00 - Php80,000.00 per month
