Production Manager

The Production Manager role is responsible for leading and overseeing manufacturing operations to achieve production targets, quality standards, cost efficiency, and on-time delivery. The position drives operational excellence through effective production planning, workforce management, continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaboration, while enhancing productivity, maintaining a safe working environment, and supporting efficient and sustainable operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage daily production operations to achieve production targets, quality standards, and delivery requirements
• Develop and implement production plans, schedules, and resource allocation strategies to maximise operational efficiency
• Monitor production performance, analyse Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and drive continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and company operational policies
• Coordinate with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Maintenance, and Planning teams to support manufacturing objectives
• Identify and resolve production bottlenecks, process issues, and performance gaps in a timely manner
• Manage workforce planning, including staffing, training, performance management, and employee development
• Lead Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and productivity improvement projects to increase efficiency and reduce waste
• Control production costs, material utilisation, and operational expenditure while maintaining product quality
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI), process transfers, and manufacturing scale-up activities as required

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Electronics, or a related field
• Minimum of 10 years of manufacturing experience, including at least 3 years in a production manager or similar leadership role
• Strong knowledge of production management principles, manufacturing processes, and operational excellence practices
• Experience in electronics manufacturing, printed circuit board assembly, semiconductors, automotive electronics, or high-volume production environments is preferred
• Proven leadership skills, with the ability to manage large teams and promote employee engagement
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and continuous improvement methodologies
• Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Material Requirements Planning (MRP), and production planning tools
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Good written and spoken English, with the ability to work in a multinational environment
