About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Production Manager to oversee and optimize production operations at our new manufacturing facility in China. This role is responsible for ensuring efficient production processes, meeting quality and delivery targets, managing production teams, and driving continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate has a strong technical background and experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, preferably with electrical equipment, power electronics, frequency converters, VFDs/VSDs, or similar industrial products

Principle Duties & Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day production operations, ensuring efficient processes and achievement of production, quality, and delivery targets
• Plan and coordinate production activities, schedules, resources, and priorities in line with business objectives
• Support the start-up and ramp-up of production operations, establishing effective workflows and standards as the facility develops
• Monitor production performance, identify bottlenecks, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize efficiency, quality, and costs
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, procurement, warehouse, and logistics teams to ensure smooth operations and support the introduction of new products and manufacturing processes
• Recruit, onboard, and train production staff, ensuring the team has the skills and competencies required for efficient and safe operations
• Contribute to building and developing the local production team, expanding manufacturing capacity, and scaling up operations as the facility grows
• Maintain strict compliance with HSE standards, electrical safety, and fire safety regulations, serving as the main contact for local authorities and audits

Requirements:

• Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Management, or a related technical field
• At least 5 years of experience in production or manufacturing management within an industrial environment, preferably in electrical equipment, power electronics, or similar industries
• Proven experience in leading production teams, planning manufacturing activities, and improving production processes and operational efficiency
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills, with a hands-on approach and the ability to work independently in a developing manufacturing environment
• Experience in production start-up, process development, or scaling up manufacturing operations would be a strong advantage
• Full professional fluency in both English and Chinese (written and spoken)
