Production Manager

Job Summary

Texan Cement Inc. is a cement terminal, with an expansion project for a new grinding plant at the Port of Brownsville. We are seeking a Production Manager to organize and oversee the cement production and the terminal expedition. The role, reporting to the Plant General Manger, will also work closely with the maintenance group, quality control, HSE and logistics to fulfill the production targets of the Company.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate the hot commissioning and start-up of the grinding plant.
• Develop and implement the operational procedures.
• Stablish and organize the production and terminal shifts, including work planning, training, coaching, and performance management.
• Manage the production equipment and the coordination of down-times for maintenance.
• Coordinate with the quality and laboratory for the production within specifications.
• Monitor the compliance with health, safety and environmental company policies and/or regulations at the production level.

Qualifications and experience

· Bachelor’s / Master Degree Engineering.

• Experience > 5 years in production, preferred in mineral/mining business.
• Experience leading production shifts 24/7.
• Advanced computer proficiency.
• Preferred: Spanish language skills.
• Preferred: experience in port operations.
• Preferred: complementary training in HSE.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
