Production Manager

Key Responsibilities:

Production Management and Good Manufacturing Practice

• Ensure there is adequate supervisory resource to efficiently run the area whilst managing the team and ensuring training and competence is evident.
• Ensure manpower and other resources are deployed in a manner that allows the production plan to be produced on time to the correct standard.
• Measure, report and improve production OEE, quality, waste, and defect levels in line with company targets and objectives.
• Ensure adherence to company systems, Standard Operating Procedures, Health and Safety and Good Manufacturing Practices systems within all production areas.
• Ensure all equipment is in good working condition. Monitor the repair progress closely.

Champion Efficiency with Outstanding Quality

• Apply Lean Manufacturing principles and tools to identify and eliminate waste, improve workflow, optimize resource utilization, and enhance overall production efficiency.
• Drive continuous process optimization initiatives to improve productivity, reduce cycle time, minimize defects, and improve OEE while maintaining product quality and GMP compliance.
• Lead and manage cost-saving projects within production, including material waste reduction, manpower optimization, and improved utilization of equipment and resources, to achieve measurable cost reductions in line with company targets.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of process improvement and cost-saving initiatives through data analysis, performance tracking, and regular reporting to ensure sustainable results.
• Train subordinate and work closely with Maintenance and QC to improve the Quality and GMP whilst retaining the required levels of Productivity and efficiency.
• Plan and co-ordinate the implementation of 5S in all production areas, measure the level of 5S compliance and report performance weekly and monthly.

Leadership, Communication and Motivation

• Lead by example. Show good example to instil good working culture among team members.
• Communicate with others department and within the team effectively.
• Lead and motivate subordinate to achieve company and personal goals.
• Assist the Production Operation Manager to provide communication by identified methods/channels to all employees and to manage employee representative communications.
• Manage and facilitate KPI reports.
• Understand and live the company Values, Orklaway, and company policies.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Chemical or related disciplines) or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 5–8 years of experience in manufacturing or production operations, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Knowledge and understanding of SAP, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
• Proven experience in Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, and process optimization within a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated track record of leading cost-saving projects and delivering measurable improvements in productivity, operational efficiency, and manufacturing costs.
