Production Manager

A large food manufacturing company located in Tripoli; is looking for an experienced and results-driven Production Manager to oversee our daily food manufacturing operations. You will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating production lines to maximize efficiency, reduce waste, and strictly uphold food safety and quality standards.
This is an on-site position based in Tripoli.

Key Responsibilities

• Production Planning & Execution: Develop and manage daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules to meet customer demand and delivery targets.
• Process Optimization: Apply Industrial Engineering and Lean/Six Sigma principles to streamline workflows, eliminate bottlenecks, and boost plant output.
• Quality & Safety Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to HACCP, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), ISO standards, and local/international food safety regulations.
• Cost & Waste Control: Monitor material usage, labor efficiency, and equipment downtime to minimize production costs and scrap rates.
• Team Leadership: Hire, train, schedule, and mentor production supervisors and floor staff; foster a safe and accountable shop-floor culture.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Quality Assurance (QA), Maintenance, Supply Chain, and R&D teams to launch new products and resolve technical issues quickly.

Desired Candidate Profile

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Bachelor s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Food Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
• Experience: Minimum of 7 years of proven experience as a Production Manager or Operations Manager within the food and beverage manufacturing industry.
• Technical Knowledge:
  • Deep understanding of food safety management systems (HACCP, ISO 22000, GMP).
  • Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, or Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Experience using ERP/MRP software to track production metrics and inventory.
• Core Competencies: Strong leadership, problem-solving under pressure, data-driven decision-making, and excellent communication skills.
