PRODUCTION MANAGER

Sweet Tooth is looking for an experienced Production Manager to lead its production operations and ensure that products are produced efficiently, consistently, and according to the company’s quality, food safety, and presentation standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise daily production activities.
• Ensure production targets are achieved within scheduled timelines.
• Supervise and manage production personnel.
• Monitor production processes to maintain consistent product quality.
• Control the use of raw materials and minimize production waste.
• Maintain accurate records of raw materials, production output, wastage, and finished products.
• Ensure proper food safety, hygiene, and sanitation practices are followed.
• Inspect finished products to ensure quality and consistency.
• Coordinate with procurement and operations teams to ensure raw materials and packaging materials are available when needed.
• Identify production challenges and implement effective solutions.
• Train, guide, and supervise production staff.
• Ensure production equipment and work areas are clean, safe, and properly maintained.
• Prepare daily and weekly production reports.
• Recommend ways to improve production efficiency and reduce operational costs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree/HND in Food Science, Food Technology, Production Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience in food production, confectionery, bakery, FMCG, manufacturing, or a similar environment.
• Proven experience managing or supervising a production team.
• Good knowledge of food production processes and quality control.
• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Good knowledge of production planning and inventory management.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.
• Strong communication and reporting skills.
• Must be proactive, detail-oriented, and results-oriented.
