Lead people, drive production performance and turn customer requirements into practical electrical solutions.**Vynco is looking for a technically capable leader with strong commercial awareness to oversee its Production function, including assembly customisation and estimating. 

Reporting to the Managing Director and joining the Senior Leadership Team, you'll bring together people leadership, operational planning and customer support to deliver quality products, timely quotations and reliable service.

About the roleYou'll lead the Production team through the process from customer requirements and project specifications to quoting, assembly and delivery. Working closely with the Manufacturing Manager and wider business, you'll coordinate workflows, improve processes and help convert sales opportunities into orders. 

Your responsibilities include:

• Leading, coaching and developing the Production, Assembly and Estimating teams
• Managing production schedules, capacity and resources to meet quality and delivery expectations
• Overseeing customised quoting, including accuracy, turnaround times, follow-up and pipeline reporting
• Providing technical advice and supporting bespoke electrical solutions, including switchboards
• Building strong relationships with customers and supporting the sales team to identify opportunities across Vynco’s product range
• Improving productivity, reducing waste and maintaining clear processes and work instructions
• Maintaining high standards of quality and health and safety with practical support when required
• Contributing to business planning and reporting as a member of the Senior Leadership Team

About youYou'll combine a practical technical background with the confidence to lead people, manage competing priorities and make sound commercial decisions. You'll enjoy working across departments and keeping customer requirements at the centre of production planning. 

You'll bring:

• A relevant mechanical, electrical or electrical engineering trade background or qualification, supported by practical experience
• Experience leading teams in a technical, production or assembly environment
• The ability to interpret drawings, plans and specifications
• Commercial awareness and experience with quoting, estimating or customer-focused technical solutions
• Strong planning, communication improvement and safe working practices
• Confidence using MS Office, particularly Excel, and relevant business systems

An electrical practising licence will be required if undertaking switchboard testing.
