About Effica Automation
Effica Automation designs and builds robotic and automation systems for industrial customers. Our in-house fabrication unit produces machines and robotic cells to approved engineering drawings. Our installation and service teams, based in Coimbatore, Hosur and Chennai, commission and support these systems at customer sites. We are hiring a Production Manager to lead this function as we grow.

About the Role
You will own the full production cycle at Effica Automation, from released drawings to onsite commissioning. You will lead the fabrication, assembly and wiring teams, plan production against delivery commitments, and make sure every system meets quality and safety standards before dispatch and at handover. This is a senior position reporting directly to the General Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead in-house fabrication and assembly of machines, robotic cells and automation systems strictly as per approved engineering drawings and BOMs
• Prepare and manage production plans, schedules and capacity so that project delivery dates are met
• Lead, mentor and set targets for supervisors, fabricators, fitters, welders, machinists and panel wiring technicians
• Coordinate with design, procurement, quality, stores, installation and service teams to keep work moving without delays
• Review drawings with the design team, raise clarifications early and control revisions on the shop floor
• Oversee onsite installation and commissioning, including pre-dispatch checks, customer-site readiness and handover to the service team
• Maintain quality through in-process inspection, testing and documentation, and drive corrective and preventive actions
• Enforce safety practices, housekeeping and statutory compliance on the shop floor and at customer sites
• Track material availability, work-in-progress, productivity, rework and cost, and report KPIs to management
• Improve processes using lean and 5S practices, reduce lead times and standardise work instructions
• Build a capable second line of leaders through training, skill matrices and succession planning

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Production, Mechatronics, Electrical or a related engineering discipline
• to 5+ years of experience in production or manufacturing, including at least 3+ years leading teams in machine building, special purpose machines, robotics, automation or heavy fabrication
• Strong ability to read and work from mechanical and electrical drawings
• Proven experience planning production and delivering projects on schedule
• Hands-on knowledge of fabrication processes such as welding, machining, sheet metal, assembly and finishing
• Experience with onsite installation and commissioning of industrial equipment
• Working knowledge of quality systems, safety standards and lean practices
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills
• Willingness to travel to customer sites as required

Preferred

• Experience with robot integration KAWASAKI, FANUC, ABB, KUKA or Yaskawa and control panels or PLC-based systems
• Exposure to ERP or production planning tools
• Lean, Six Sigma or ISO 9001 training

• Salary of INR 18000 to 85000 per year, based on experience
