Take a broad plant leadership role with direct influence over safety, output, quality and costs. Reporting to the Plant Manager, you’ll lead approximately 10 employees and bring production, maintenance and mining activities together to deliver reliable results.

What you’ll be doing

• Lead safe, efficient plant operations, balancing production targets with maintenance needs and available resources.
• Improve performance across output, quality, equipment utilisation and operating costs.
• Develop and coach the plant team, setting clear priorities and building collaboration across operational functions.
• Support budgets, capital investment requests and compliance with safety, environmental and food safety requirements.

Experience needed

• At least five years’ leadership experience in heavy manufacturing, construction or mining, ideally within cement or minerals processing.
• Experience managing operational teams and improving safety, production, maintenance or quality performance.
• Strong understanding of budgets and cost control, with cost accounting and profit and loss exposure particularly valued.
• A degree in Engineering, Business or Finance, or equivalent relevant leadership experience, is desirable. Flexibility to support shifts, on-call duties and weekend working when required is essential.
