Production Manager (Mandarin Speaking)

About the Role: We are seeking an experienced and result-driven Production Manager (Mandarin Speaking) to oversee our daily factory operations, manufacturing planning, quality control, and shop-floor management in Johor Bahru. Candidates with a background in mechanical engineering, machining, or metal fabrication/manufacturing are strongly encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily shop-floor production management, manpower scheduling, and execution of manufacturing plans to ensure on-time order delivery.
• Analyze production bottlenecks, optimize process flows, and implement lean manufacturing techniques to boost operational efficiency and output.
• Supervise process discipline, ensuring all operators comply with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), technical drawings, and quality standards.
• Manage shop-floor manufacturing costs, material utilization, and tooling/consumable budgets to reduce waste.
• Oversee daily autonomous maintenance, routine machine inspections, and periodic maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
• Enforce workplace safety regulations, conduct regular hazard inspections, and strive for a "Zero Accident" work environment.
• Lead, evaluate, and provide technical training to production team members to enhance overall team competency.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent.

• Minimum 8 years of working experience in production management within mechanical, machining, metalworking, or related manufacturing industries.

• Strong familiarity with machining equipment, general mechanical fabrication processes, and shop-floor trouble-shooting.

• Strong leadership, crisis management, cost control, and problem-solving skills under high pressure.
